In the forwarding report, the IO said all five arrestees are members of a racket and they are selling and providing the narcotics. Moreover, they gave important information about their involvement with selling LSD and other narcotics in various parts of the city.
So, the accused should be confined in jail until the investigation of the case is completed, the IO added in the forwarding report.
The defence for the accused submitted separate petitions seeking bail, saying that their clients were implicated in the case to harass them.
Meantime, defence for Nazmus Sakib, submitted a petition for declaring him a juvenile. But the court didn’t pass any order on the issue.
Upon hearing both the sides, the magistrate rejected the defence pleas and sent them to Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj.
